Grupo Consorcio was developed from our flagship company - Consorcio Español Conservero - through the merging of the companies Pelazza, (the Spanish leader in anchovy volume,) and Campanal - a pioneer in the production of cooked dishes. Because together we are stronger.
The enormous richness of the Cantabrian coast's anchovy, its renowned quality and the growing market demand have led to the considerable expansion of our company.
In the 1980s, our position strengthened across international markets, and by the 90s we retailed in some of the world's most prestigious stores. These were were a perfect home for our brand because our company's philosophy is based on products of the highest quality. Products that stand out in the market for goodness and delicacy. And complete deliciousness of course!
In the new millennium, Consorcio continued its expansion on national and international levels. In recent years the number of countries to which we export to has grown to over 40, and includes the UK, Italy, USA, Canada, Switzerland, Belgium, France, Portugal, Andorra, Sweden, Egypt, Thailand, Brazil and Mexico (it seems that alot of nationalities love our tuna and anchovies.)
